  • 1)
  • The shipper of consigning goods shall fill in consigning form of cargo and shall handle with relevant procedures based on identity card of residents or other valid identity certificates and formalities.
  • 2)
  • When the shipper consigns fresh and perishable goods, living animals, emergent items, large batch of cargo, and time-limited cargo, he/she shall first book shipping space from space control department of airline company before handling with consigning procedures.
  • 3)
  • In the event of the shipper consigns cargo that is limited for transport by the government or requires procedures of public security and quarantine authorities, valid certificates shall be attached.
  • 4)
  • The shipper shall be responsible for authenticity and accuracy of all contents in the consigning form and information and documents provided.
  • 5)
  • For cargoes with different consigning conditions or those cannot be transported together due to nature of cargo, consigning form shall be filled in separately.
  • 6)
  • In order to ensure safety of air transport, the carrier shall have right to carry out safety check on cargo consigned by the shipper.

    Consignment of international cargo
  • 1)
  • Fill in cargo consigning form at consigning counter (The consigning counter is located at Hall D at north side of warehouse);
  • 2)
  • Deliver cargo at designated inlet of delivering cargo based on cargo consigning form and warehousing entry;
  • 3)
  • Receive and weigh cargo at designated inlet and take weighing list;
  • 4)
  • Take airway bill based on cargo consigning form and weighing list at consigning counter;
  • 5)
  • Pay charge;
  • 6)
  • Handle with customs procedures;
  • 7)
  • Affix a safety inspection stamp on airway bill at cargo safety inspection;
  • 8)
  • Return airway bill to consigning counter.

  • 1)
  • Take airway bill based on valid certificates at airport entry counter (The airport entry counter is located at Hall B at south side of warehouse);
  • 2)
  • Handle with customs procedures;
  • 3)
  • Pay charge;
  • 4)
  • Print bill of lading;

  • Taking delivery of cargo at international airport entry warehouse (The international airport entry warehouse is located at west side of south gate.)

    Consignment of domestic cargo
  • 1)
  • Fill in cargo consigning form at consigning counter
  • 2)
  • Weigh cargo and pass it through cargo safety inspection based on consigning form;
  • 3)
  • Take airway bill based on cargo consigning form at consigning counter;
  • 4)
  • Enquire cargo information via automatic, phonetic system.

  • 1)
  • Take airway bill based on valid certificates at counter of taking airway bill;
  • 2)
  • Pay charge;
  • 3)
  • Taking delivery of cargo based on valid certificates and airway bill.

  • 1)
  • When the cargo arrives at destination, relevant departments inform consignee of taking delivery of cargo with rail advice or telephone. The consignee shall handle with procedures of taking delivery at the designated place based on letter of introduction from his unit or rail advice or copy of airway bill for consignee along with valid ID certificates himself (such as identity card of residents, passports, certificate of military officer, certificate of soldier, civilian military card, and household register etc.)
  • 2)
  • If the consignee entrusts others with taking delivery of cargo, the rail advice or copy of airway bill for consignee along with valid ID certificates or other valid identify certificates of consignee and trustee shall be showed for taking delivery of cargo.
  • 3)
  • The consignee shall handle with customs and quarantine procedures by himself and pay off relevant fees (such as freight payable at destination and custody charge etc.) before taking delivery.

No. When query cargo situations from information department of Air China Cargo, you have to provide accurate airway bill No.. If you only have house airway bill No. of the cargo, you can query cargo transport situations from the entrusted agent.

  • 1)
  • The airline company of issuing airway bill shall be claimed (For example, if the airway bill is 999-xxxxxxxx, Air China shall be claimed; if the airway bill is 781-xxxxxxxx, the China Eastern Airlines shall be claimed).

  • The first carrier;

  • The carrier taking place cargo loss, damage, or delay in transport;

  • 1Cargo damage: at latest within 14 days after receiving cargo;

For international cargo, the compensation is maximum 20 U.S. dollars per kilogram, and for domestic cargo, the compensation is maximum RMB 100 Yuan per kilogram.

  • 1)
  • Usually, actual loss value shall be determined based on invoice at the time of cargo recovery. For the cargo which is wetted (for example clothes and cloth), only cleaning and ironing costs shall be compensated in general;
  • 2)
  • For cargo with declared value, compensation shall be declared value and shall be no more than actual value; for cargo whose value is not declared, compensation responsibilities for cargo loss, damage, and delay shall be no more than 20 U.S. dollars or equivalent value of other currencies. In the event that cargo destroying, loss, damage, or delay is caused during transport, the responsibility of the carrier shall be limited as special drawing right of RMB17 per kilogram.
  • 3)
  • In the event that the shipper has handled with insurance for cargo from insurance company, the shipper shall lodge a claim to insurance company directly, and the responsibility compensation of airline company shall be recovered by insurance company.
